Reppit vs Strong
Strong is what most experienced lifters name when they want a logbook and nothing else. It is fast, the Apple Watch app is the best in the category, and there is no feed anywhere. That is the point of it.
What Strong does well
- Strong's logging speed is the benchmark everyone else is measured against.
- Its Apple Watch app is the real moat, and we have nothing comparable.
- No social layer at all, which for many lifters is exactly right.
Job by job
| Job | Strong | Reppit |
|---|---|---|
| Logging a set | The reference point for fast logging, and an Apple Watch app people stay for. | About the same on the phone. No Watch app, so if you log from the wrist Strong wins. |
| Writing your next session | Stores routines. You decide the progression. | A fixed rule set builds and progresses a five-week block. Coach is Pro. |
| Friends | Deliberately none. That is the point for a lot of people. | Feed, follows, groups and leaderboards, free. Ignorable if you do not want them. |
| Free tier | Free plan caps routines, which is the most-cited reason people leave. | No routine cap, no history cap. |
Where Reppit is behind
- No offline mode. If your gym has no signal, your sets do not save. That is the worst thing about us right now.
- No Apple Watch or Wear OS app.
- Far fewer people use Reppit, so there is no pile of routines to copy yet.
Which to pick
Switch if you want the app to decide what you lift next and show its working, or if the routine cap is what sent you looking. Stay on Strong if you log from your wrist. We have no Watch app and will not pretend that is a small thing.
